Certified Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT)

This treatment is geared toward relief of specific muscle pain and dysfunction from trigger points, injury prevention and treatment, and post-surgical rehabilitation. Common conditions that can benefit from this treatment include pain from bulging or herniated discs, migraine headaches, rotator cuff strain and tears, carpal tunnel syndrome, and whiplash. A prenatal version is offered for those mothers who are in the second or third trimesters who are having debilitating pain. Neuromuscular Therapy is extremely beneficial in expediting recovery time from surgery, however a written release from the referring physician is required prior to treatment. The goal of this treatment is long-term pain relief, not relaxation. This is usually a short-term therapy.
