She is a nationally Board Certified Licensed Massage Therapist who specializes in treating and correcting fascia (connective tissue) She is a Certified Anatomy Trains Structural Integrator and has advanced training in traditional Myofascial Release Therapy. She is also a Certified Prenatal Massage Therapist under Carol Osborn. Her areas of expertise are fascial restructuring, postural improvement, running injuries, motor vehicle accident injuries, and prenatal massage. Her touch is moderate to deep.

She has been a practicing since 2003 when she graduated from the Central Florida School of Massage Therapy in Winter Park, Florida. She began her massage career in outpatient rehab and sports medicine at the Florida Hospital. There she worked closely with many physical therapists in patient care,  providing therapeutic massage for athletes, pregnant women, and patients rehabilitating from surgery and injury, as well as patients seeking pain management for chronic conditions. Since moving to Arizona in 2005, she has maintained a private practice administering goal-based therapeutic massage and has contracted her services to several resorts and therapeutic offices for specialized client care.

Melissa stumbled upon her love for massage therapy by mere chance. She went to massage therapy school for fun, and while there she learned the many benefits of bodywork, and was inspired to seek employment in a medical facility when she graduated from school. She received her first session in Structural Integration as a student, and after just one treatment was amazed at the changes in her structure. She gained a half-inch in height, and experienced a noticeable increase in her lung capacity from tissue being released around her chest.

Since that time, it has been Melissa’s goal to become a Certified Structural Integration Therapist to help people release themselves from the binds in their own tissue created throughout their lifetime. She completed the Tom Myers’ Anatomy Trains 500-hour Structural Integration training program for advanced practitioners in 2010. She is a Board Certified Structural Integrator under the International Association of Structural Integrators.
